Beginning in 2010, Haworth Inc., a privately held office furniture manufacturer, relocated their head office and manufacturing facilities from Calgary, Canada to Holland, Michigan.
To support and manage operations as owner representatives during corporate relocation.
While the move was in progress, Calgary’s remaining employees needed care and facilities, and assets still required management. As trusted owner representatives, Knightsbridge provided local representation and full management services.
Knightsbridge managed and operated a 900,000 square foot facility throughout the duration of the move. This included ongoing asset and budget management, site management, capital planning for maintenance and repairs, engineering services, procurement of third-party services, as well as 24/7 call support. Real-time reporting allowed for efficient and transparent communication, so that head office could be informed at all times.
Knightsbridge not only successfully managed the Calgary facility, but also lowered operating costs and reduced utility consumption while maintaining or exceeding previous service levels.
